Design

The GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) watch is brilliant, not because of its complexity but because of its simple ingenuity. The movement's going train (primary series of gears) in a conventional watch is made to spin the hour hand around the dial every 12 hours, all that is required to become a GMT tracker is simply a second hour hand geared to run half as fast and an additional 24-hour time scale.

In other words, the 24-hour hand circles the dial once a day instead of twice, its tip pointing to the corresponding hour, leaving no confusion as to whether it’s a.m. or p.m.Whether it's our GMT Air 5120 Series with its aviation-inspired allure or the GMT F-117 Nighthawk 6420 Series that embodies the spirit of exploration, these timepieces are a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. With the added functionality of multiple time zones, Luminox' GMT watches become indispensable companions for the global nomad, effortlessly keeping pace with the jet-setting lifestyle.

Fasten your seatbelts, adjust your time zones, and embark on a journey where style meets wanderlust - Our GMT watches are where time knows no boundaries.

Using our GMT Watches

Understanding the GMT Fucntion: The GMT arrow hand, easy to find in a bold contrasting color, follows a 24-hour ring to take the math out of calculating international time. This allows you to keep track of two different time zones simultaneously.

Set the local time: Use the crown (middle button) to adjust the main hour and minute hands to your current local time. Ensure that the local time aligns with the corresponding hour markers on the dial.

Set the GMT hand: Use the crown to adjust the GMT hand to the desired second time zone. The GMT hand typically moves in one-hour increments. Align it with the hour markers on the 24-hour scale to reflect the correct time in the chosen time zone.

Read the local time: To read the local time, simply observe the main hour and minute hands, along with the minute markers on the dial.

Read the second time zone: To read the time in the second time zone, refer to the GMT hand and the 24-hour scale on the dial. The GMT hand points to the corresponding hour on the scale, indicating the time in the selected time zone.

By following these steps, your Luminox GMT watch becomes a powerful tool for tracking and calculating time across different time zones. It allows you to effortlessly stay connected with different regions of the world, making it an ideal companion for frequent travelers or those who need to coordinate activities across multiple time zones.

Embrace the convenience and accuracy of Luminox GMT watches, and effortlessly navigate the global realm of timekeeping.
